Ginseng Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Rice: 100 grams
  • Pear Flesh: 500 grams
  • Tianmen Dong (Asparagus Root): 50 grams
  • Fresh Ginseng: 15 grams
  • Cast Iron Pot
  • Wood Fire Stove

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pot:
  • Place the cast iron pot on the wood fire stove and add approximately 1.5 kilograms (3 pounds) of water to the pot.
  1. Cooking the Base:
  • Add the Job’s Tears to the pot and start cooking over a wood fire.
  • While the Job’s Tears are cooking, prepare the pear flesh and Tianmen Dong.
  • Once the Job’s Tears have started to cook, add the prepared pear flesh and Tianmen Dong to the pot.
  • Continue to cook for 30 minutes on a steady wood fire.
  1. Straining the Broth:
  • After 30 minutes, strain the mixture to remove the solid ingredients, leaving only the broth in the pot.
  1. Adding Ginseng:
  • Wash the fresh ginseng thoroughly, chop it finely, and add it to the strained broth.
  • Cook for an additional 10 minutes over the wood fire.
  1. Finalizing the Soup:
  • Reduce the soup to about 350 grams of liquid.
  • Serve the soup in bowls.
  1. Consuming:
  • Consume the ginseng along with the soup.

Important Note:

  • This ginseng recipe should only be consumed before 12 PM, ideally as part of breakfast before 9 AM.Consuming it later can cause overheating and may be harmful to your health.
